Cookie Policy
Short version: the app needs two cookies to keep you signed in. Everything else waits for your choice, and if you say no we still count visits without storing anything on your device.

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Websites also use similar storage (“local storage”) that stays on your device until deleted. This page covers both.
2. Your choice
The first time you visit jobpedia.ai or app.jobpedia.ai, a banner asks whether we may use cookies for two optional purposes:
- Measurement: recognise your browser between visits so we can count returning visitors and follow a journey across pages. Used by PostHog and Google Analytics.
- Marketing: tell Google Ads when a visit that came from one of our ads led to a fit check or an email save. Used by Google only. We never enable personalised advertising.
Until you choose, no analytics cookie or storage is written. If you reject, PostHog still counts your visit in “cookieless” mode: it derives a short-lived, daily-rotating identifier from your IP address and browser inside its servers and never stores anything on your device. Google receives no cookies and no identifiers; it may get anonymous, consent-denied pings that let it estimate conversions in aggregate.
You can change your choice at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer of the website and of the app. Your choice is stored on your device together with the date and the version of this policy, and we ask again when the policy changes.

4. What we do not do
- No advertising or social-media pixels other than Google Ads conversion measurement.
- No personalised advertising, on any site, in any consent state.
- No session recording on the fit check pages. Elsewhere, error reports mask all text.
- Analytics never receive your resume, job postings, answers, email address or the private link to a saved verdict. Those are stripped before anything leaves your browser.
5. Controlling cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the sign-in cookies you will be signed out. Deleting jp_consent makes the banner appear again.
